Program Description

**NEW Designed to set a new standard for skilled, equitable, and holistic wound care delivery**

The Canadian Healthcare Education Network (CHEN) Wound Care Program equips healthcare professionals with evidence-informed, micro-credential knowledge and skills to optimize wound assessment, management, and outcomes. Designed for clinicians across all healthcare sectors, our programs combine self-directed learning, interactive virtual classes, and hands-on practice. Enhance your expertise with our progressive courses tailored to the challenges of modern wound care.

High-quality wound care requires more than clinical knowledge—it requires awareness of the whole person and the context in which they live. The program emphasizes health equity and person-centred care, exploring how social determinants such as housing, nutrition, and access to services affect healing. Learners build inclusive approaches to wound management across diverse populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, living with chronic illness, or managing care in underserved communities. Case studies and interactive discussions reflect real-world complexity and diversity, strengthening participants’ ability to provide competent, compassionate, and equitable care.
