The Canadian Healthcare Education Network (CHEN) Wound Care Program equips healthcare professionals with evidence-informed, micro-credential knowledge and skills to optimize wound assessment, management, and outcomes. Designed for clinicians across all healthcare sectors, our programs combine self-directed learning, interactive virtual classes, and hands-on practice to address the challenges of modern wound care.
Designed for front-line nurses, this course has a special focus on dressings and dressing options, helping you understand what’s available and how to choose the right products for your patients. You’ll also learn to take leadership over what’s ordered from your formulary, giving you the confidence to make informed, practical decisions that improve patient care.
Live instruction means you’ll work directly with dressings in class, building hands-on skills you can use immediately in your practice.
Wound Care Level 1 is your gateway to understanding the foundational principles of effective wound care. This comprehensive course covers wound assessment, classification, and basic management strategies. With a mix of self-directed study and live virtual sessions, you’ll gain the confidence and skills needed to make informed decisions in clinical practice.
