Tuition Funding for Nurses

This course is specifically designed for nurses working in harm reduction who provide essential support to individuals at risk of or living with compromised skin integrity. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by vulnerable populations, the program emphasizes a compassionate and practical approach to wound care. Using Micro-credentials, participants will learn strategies to address wounds effectively while incorporating harm reduction principles, ensuring that care is both accessible and aligned with the realities of the communities they serve.
This practical course equips nurses working in harm reduction with the essentials of wound care in community and street settings. Learn to spot problems early, support clients with basic care, and know when to connect them with more specialized medical services. Build confidence, share experiences, and earn a Certificate of Completion.
The program focuses on practical wound care skills, including techniques for prevention and management tailored to high-risk environments. Participants will also explore the social and systemic barriers that impact healthcare access for marginalized groups, gaining the knowledge and confidence to navigate these complexities. By integrating wound care expertise into their harm reduction framework, attendees will leave equipped to make a meaningful difference in promoting health and healing within their communities.

Fully Online - Live Instructor Led sessions
In addition to the live learning, allow for one (1) hour of self-directed learning. This program includes live virtual sessions and self-directed learning components, designed for flexibility and engagement to meet the unique needs of harm reduction workers.
